Bittersweet Hiatus is Jae Sole’s second EP. Her music is best described as a mixture of Indie Pop,
and Alternative RnB. The EP focuses on many different topics and is easily relatable to many
situations in people’s life. “Bad” is the first song on the EP and it embodies taking charge of life
and moving on from a prior relationship. While “Unavailable” the second song can be interrupted
in many ways, relating to relationships between friends, lovers, or family. The last song “Happy”
is a must listen and is a very relatable with all the emotions described in the song.
The EP was produced by Tom Deis and the lyrics are written by Jae Sole. This album was created
over the course of a year. In 2021, Jae decided to take a break from music and the break turned
into a long hiatus. It was a bittersweet time for Jae because she regretted taking a break. While at
the same time, she knew she had to stop pursuing music to regain her motivation.
Prior to covid, Jae started to perform live, and book shows throughout near by cities. She would
perform her first EP Vivid Dreams that released on June 29th, 2019. On December 10th, 2022,
second EP release, she will be performing with the producer of her EP Tom Deis. Jae Sole is just
beginning her music career, and there is more to come in the near future.
